Low Self Esteem not caused by flu virus?

Isn't it frustrating when you seem to take two steps forward only to take three back in pursuit of your goals?

I have got news for you - you are not alone? From the day you were born you have more than likely been fed a diet of negatives giving you low self esteem although you may not have thought of that as you grew up.

In order to do something about them first of all you have to accept their existence, in order to do so you need to have the self confidence to know what they are.

I can almost guarantee that sometime during your childhood you heard such things as 'Don't' 'Stop' 'Quiet' 'Your too small' 'You cannot do that' and more

Did you ever try something and when you failed to get results were told 'it was not expected because you were......' here we go again.

A favourite put down when I was growing up was, 'children should be seen and not heard' have you had that said to you? This little phrase can fester inside you and have a great impact on how you see yourself in later life.

The there was that time when you thought you would try something new , breaking out of your comfort zone perhaps so you tell a friend they are less than enthusiastic because they do not want you to be better than they feel about themselves so they dissuade you.

These processes are the foundations of the self-limiting beliefs you are now confronted by every time you face an unusual set of circumstances shattering your self confidence and self improvement.

Perhaps it is true to say that your first reaction to a new situation is negative, perhaps your boss calls you unexpectently into their office, is your first thought 'What have I done wrong'

So why do these self-limiting beliefs come to the surface, it could be because as you consciously think positive your subconscious send up a thought of one of those times when your confidence was knocked back and your low self esteem takes over.

The store locker of all your self-limiting beliefs is your subconscious mind, the unfortunate thing is that the subconscious mind is far stronger than the conscious mind

Your self image reflects all the things you do on autopilot that is the physical things you have done on a repetitive basis so that you do them without conscious thought through the power house that is your subconscious mind

O.K. Having established and accepted that it is your sub-conscious that is preventing you from making progress toward your life goals, is there something that you can do about it?

Fortunately there is, in a nutshell all you have to do is to bring your conscious and sub-conscious minds into harmony with positive thinking, that sounds easy doesn't it?

Because the subconscious mind carries the instructions for all those tasks we do on autopilot it seems to be a difficult task to harmonize your two minds.

The way to change your ability to reach your goals is to actively bring your conscious and subconscious minds together. It probably is not the first time that you have wanted something only to feel yourself holding back. What causes this? Could it be the conflict between your inner and outer consciousness that is causing low self esteem?

What a lot of people fail to realise is that when you look for an answer through the Law of Attraction it does not just produce positive results. It is no magic bullet. The law of attraction will respond to your dominant thoughts and we have just discussed that more than likely your dominant thoughts today are based on all the negative input you have received since childhood, most of it telling you that you should accept your station in life and not try to break out of your comfort zone. \so you need to sit down and think about your dominant thoughts for as the saying goes - 'Be careful of what you think for you will surely get it' Negative as well as Positive.

You have to be careful when you say the law of attraction does not work, remember it works when producing negative as well as positive results, it is not a magic bullet.

There is a good news bad news answer as far as removing self-limiting beliefs. The good news is that to remove the beliefs the first stepping stone is all about goal setting the bad news is that the vast majority of the population do not know how to set a goal and that could include you even if you think you have set goals all of your working life

Just think back and answer this - have you ever set a goal and did not achieve a successful outcome? remember what it did to you self confidence.

Your personal development can take a massive stride forward if you were to open your mind to a way of setting goals that guarantees a successful result no matter what the goal is!

STOP! And ask yourself this key question - How can I develop my mind to set my goals and to always bring about positive results? Listen closely please; don't rush headlong trying to find the answer when all you need do is take The First Step

Many people are confused when it comes to setting their goals down on paper and as the question "what are the first steps to goal achievement?" You can find the answer by following that link.
